Cuando Peter Tägtgren comenzó con esta empresa no sabía que estaba creando a uno de los mounstros mas grandes y terribles que ocuparían un lugar privilegiado en el area del Death melódico, con un sonido bastante agresivo pero a la vez con ambientaciones que cubren con una atmósfera muy misteriosa y oscura, en ocasiones, incluso con un toque de Black en los primeros trabajos, sus placas ya son todos unos clásicos consagrados,de lo más original con toda esta temática de aliens, y cualquier material de Hypocrisy es garantía de satisfacción metalera total !!.
